Big Bang reveals new image teaser: “ALIVE”


Thanks to eagle-eyed VIPs, a mysterious update on YG Entertainment‘s official blog YG-Life has been spotted, escalating worldwide anticipation for Big Bang‘s comeback.

Instead of releasing a new teaser with information and great fanfare, YG’s latest update is very subtle. The top image may seem no different from the previous image teaser, but the word “ALIVE” is peeking from the upper right area of the blue circular gradient.

2NE1 postpones Japanese debut, may jumpstart Korean comeback activities!


Due to the natural disaster affecting Japan, YG Entertainment has announced that they’ll be postponing 2NE1’s official Japanese debut.

The group was originally scheduled to begin promotions next month with the release of their debut single through Avex. However, on March 16th, Yang Hyun Suk spoke with Star News and revealed, “Originally, we were going to promote through May, but with the disaster affecting Japan, we have decided to postpone 2NE1’s Japanese promotions to a later date.”

YG Family will not be participating in the ‘2010 KBS Music Festival’?!


YG Entertainment artists will not be taking part in the KBS year-end music festival.

According to music broadcast representatives on December 20th, 2NE1, Se7en, Taeyang, and Big Bang’s unit group GD&TOP, will only participate in the “SBS Gayo Daejun” and the “MBC Music Festival“, held on December 29th and 31st respectively.

Last week we reported that YG Entertainment was hunting for talented singers in Asia through an open audition (www.yg-audition.com) titled the YG Audition. For these auditions, the finalists from the initial auditions will have a real life audition in Korea, which will be judged directly by YG’s head man, Yang Hyun Suk.

YG Entertainment will soon begin hunting for talented singers all around Asia.

YG Life countdown complete and four announcements have been made!


Fervent fans of YG Entertainment were well-aware of the countdown clock on the YG-Life website, but what it was ticking down for no one could really say.

Well it’s finally the zero hour, and YG has just announced that Big Bang would be coming back on February 1st, 2011, Seungri would have his digital solo single release on January 3rd, 2011, and G-Dragon & T.O.P will release the title tracks “High High” and “Oh Yeah” on December 15th, 2010…for their upcoming album, which is set for release on December 24th, 2010!
